Modern Social Association (MSA) is a
non-governmental, voluntary and non-profit Association which is interested in
providing services in; Health, Education, and Nutrition to the Society. We
believe that building a capacity of young generations will contribute in
community development in all targeted fields of work. Therefore, we are working
through applying a scientific approach in the field and establish a training
and research environment at local level.
Early in 2012, we started as a group
of educated people and health experts in providing training and consultations
for many health professionals in Yemen as volunteers to contribute in the
capacity building of the national staff and develop a strong technical bases to
improve the health system in the country. We wanted to make a change and create
a hope for millions of people in Yemen.
MSA was established officially in
November 2016, With the beginning of 2017, the MSA launched the expansion phase
to provide Psychological First Aid targeting schools according to WHO
guideline, this is the first of its kind to be operated among the local NGOs,
and began working through its headquarters in the Governorate of Aden targeting
youth in Aden and Lahj. MSA run the
activities with a group of motivated volunteers who are willing to help people
and saving life. MSA found that to have a great impact on the psychological
status of the children and community cannot be achieved without integrated
approach of service provision such as health, nutrition, food security and WASH
and active collaboration with national and international partners who are
working in Yemen. Therefore; MSA with
its team of health experts are focusing on providing humanitarian aids.
